Cookies

HAMBURGER COOKIES

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup cream

1/2 cup cocoa

1 3/4 cups flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

3 cups oatmeal

Cream butter. Add sugar and mix well. Add vanilla, eggs and cream. Beat well. Add flour, b. soda, b. powder, salt, cocoa and oatmeal. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes on greased cookie sheet.

Icing:

2 Tbsp butter

1 cup water

4 Tbsp cocoa

3/4 cup sugar

2 Tbsp + 1 tsp cornstarch

dash salt

1/2 tsp vanilla

Boil till thick; cool. Spread between cookies.

Yesterday I decided to make some of these delicious cookies. I'm so glad I did! I don't think I put quite enough of the filling in the middle, but they are still soooo good!
